Secluded Harbor

I did this paining from the view of the wheelhouse of my fishing boat on a crisps early spring morning. I was hoping that the artwork would capture the snug cozy feel of the inside passage’s almost secret harbors (Meyers Chuck). Small water side cabins and a dock collecting objects that belong to the life of coastal dwellers. The smell of wood fires drifting from cabin chimneys and the promise purposeful days uncluttered by busy city life elsewhere. The  painting is entwined into a chart that encompasses the area  From Dixon Entrances to above Cape Spencer, including all of the Tongass National Forest and the inside passage waters at Southeast Alaska.
